The heart of the home is its spacious living room, perfect for gathering with family or friends, which flows into the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, ideal for preparing meals and sharing them together. With plenty of space to spread out, it’s perfect for both relaxing and entertaining. The home features a full bathroom on the main level and a half bath upstairs for added convenience. In-window air conditioning keeps the main areas comfortable during warmer days. With thoughtful layout and ample living space, this property provides everything you need for a memorable getaway. Please note, this home is not pet-friendly.

OUTDOOR SPACE 

The house is located on a wooded lot with a spacious yard that includes a fire pit and a basketball hoop! There are 2 great decks which allow you to spend more of your time outside. The first deck is in the front of the house and the second is off the back of the house where you will find a gas grill for cooking out. Both decks offer a private wooded setting where you can feel at one with nature. 

Public lake access is within walking distance, located just down the road. Please note that the walk is along a busy roadway, so caution is advised.

Note from Owner: "Welcome to Parrot Head Cottage!  We are so happy you are here to enjoy our getaway.  What we love about this property is the proximity to Lake Michigan.  A short walk has you on a beautiful stretch of pristine beach along the clear water of the Big Lake.  Our favorite activity is to pack up and spend the day at the beach, enjoying the sunshine and water.  The sunsets are spectacular as well.  When we've had enough of the beach, and really that never happens ;), we have a hard time deciding whether to go North or South.  To the South of us, there is Silver Lake and the sand dunes.  Craig's Cruisers is always a good time, and The Frickin' Chicken has really good food.  A new fave of ours is The Golden Sands Golf Course and Bucket Bar. Great food and great atmosphere! To the North is Pentwater.  We love strolling through the many shops and have not found a bad restaurant yet.  Our favorites are The Brown Bear and The Antler Bar.  When we are not in the mood to explore we love relaxing on the deck with a cold beverage. Every night is spent around the campfire underneath a glowing canopy of stars.  We do hope you enjoy this place as much as we do."  

Silver Lake is located in Mears, Michigan, and offers shorelines along Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the massive Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer. Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail which will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream.  Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression. Plan on spending a day with your family at Michigan's  Adventure for a day of action and excitement. Lucky for you, all of this is just minutes away, and waiting for your family to create lasting memories.
