It is located just two miles outside of downtown Saugatuck, not even a 5 minute, and a short walk to the Dune Rides. Has shared access with Goshorn Lake and their sandy beach, a volleyball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, jungle gyms, sandboxes, and a heated pool. Illustrator Cottage is the perfect getaway making you want to stay longer.
INSIDE THE HOME
Walk into a recently updated cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen (equipped with the basics), screened in porch, and decently sized bed and bath. This cottage has one bedroom (queen size) and one full bath. The full bath has handicap accessible rails for help in and out of the shower. There is also a ramp leading up to the entrance of this cottage. The living room does have a pull out sofa that turns into a double size bed. Come in after a long day Kayaking on Goshorn lake to relax and grill out. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the screened in porch and listen to the birds.

Goshorn Lake #10 is a standalone home within Goshorn Lake Resort. If you’re traveling with a larger group, we manage five other cottages in this same resort. The homes are intended to be rented separately, but can easily be booked together for group getaways.

We just moved to Chicago after living in New York City for 10 years; Our quick weekend in Saugatuck was a much needed reprieve from city living. Anthony's cabin (#10) was extremely comfortable and inviting. So nice to see original art on the walls and the screen porch is top tier. He has also done a great job with the plants outside! What a beautiful couple of days we spent. I think my favorite part was kayaking on Goshorn next to the lily pads and the family of swans with their cygnet.
Lovely stay. It was my first time on the eastern shore of lake Michigan and it was a magical time.

This cottage was adorable and perfect for my stay. It is small, but it had everything that I needed. I especially loved the screened in porch. The art throughout the cottage is quirky and led to many interesting conversations. The location is perfect and close to everything I needed. The beach is lovely with many amenities, including a play structure for children and kayaks. There's also a basketball court near the beach and a wide expanse of grass perfect for games or picnics. The pool is beautiful and clean. I loved the serene setting- it felt very private. I especially appreciated the excellent communication with the host who saw to my every need! I highly recommend this adorable little cottage for your next getaway!

We totally enjoyed the cottage and lake and surroundings while staying at Goshorn Lake Resort. It's a great fishing lake and the weather was so nice while we were there. Our grandson caught some blue gills and was very happy about that.

Illustrator Cottage was a quaint retreat. The vibe was retro, comfortable and perfectly coordinated. The resort had so much to offer in addition to our cottage. Boats, kayaks, swimming, game room, fishing dock, beach, pool and more! It was so close to everything. We couldn't have asked for more!

This was a very nice experience. Any recommendations come from my personal situation rather than anything that was done poorly. For example, the furniture was not made for folks with bad knees and the bed was a bit too soft for my liking but those are personal things. I would recommend a small rug outside of the bed to wipe your feet on before getting into the bed. My feet seemed to carry a lot of dust/sand into the bed with them.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved having the pool and the lake. The pool was warm which I appreciate so much. We took advantage of the kayaks and sand toys at the lake. The cottage had everything one could need. Loved sitting in the screened in porch at night playing games. One thing I really appreciate were all the hooks. Those are so important for beach trips. Beds were decent. The couch could use a cleaning but that and I wish check out was 10:30 or 11 are my only complaints. But those are minor. Would definitely book this place agai

I visited the Illustrator Cottage, with friends, during the month of October, 2023 and had a very enjoyable time! This is the perfect minimalist cabin for everyone, but especially for art lovers.
While the cottage offers very comfy beds, an efficient kitchen, relaxing porch and deck, my very favorite highlight is the artwork. Some is hung on the walls, but also includes custom made drapes, shower curtain and rug created by the artist/owner.
While fall is late in the season, it is a great time to visit as the leaves are changing and children are back at school, so the atmosphere was very peaceful. It was easy to visit nearby Saugatuck without the crowds of tourists and the unique shops and restaurants were all open.
I would enthusiastically encourage others to enjoy this relaxing cottage!

My friend and I had the pleasure of a relaxing get-a-way last weekend at at cottage #10 at Goslake Resort. It was super nice—very clean, well supplied, comfortable sleeping, quiet, uniquely decorated with Tony's Kieren's art designs, and autumn lovely. The only bummer was the dismal weather, which interfered with wi-fi reception one evening. In the information basket about Saugatuck, we found helpful ideas of what to do on a rainy day. We thoroughly enjoyed the antique venue listed. We would easily recommend this cottage for a small group (2-3) relaxing experience.

More amenities in the house than I expected The fishing, kayaking, swimming, basketball and other activities there were just what we needed to get off of electronics and disconnect. My kids didn't even ask to turn on the TV I'd would bring extra blankets next time, otherwise, great time and wish we had a longer stay. Looking forward to doing it again

We found the illustrators cottage to be the perfect, cozy get away in Michigan for our family of four. We were impressed with how small, yet comfortable the cottage was. We cooked everything ourselves during our stay using the kitchen and utensils provided. When we drove through Saugatuck we saw a Dune Buggy company, mini-golf, and the adorable restaurants of Saugatuck very close by, which we thought would be great to explore, but turns out in our two day stay we never left the cottage area! There was so much to do! A super nice heated pool, beach area with kayaks and boats provided, basketball and volleyball, and an area to walk/ride bikes. It was honestly so relaxing and perfect for us and we can't wait to go back! I can't recommend this cottage enough, especially for a family who wants a safe, relaxing and entertaining vacation for their kiddos.
